To kick things off, the Digital Beehive crew is diving into our first fundraising challenge – quite literally – by taking part in this year’s Dragon Boat Race at the Leeds Waterfront Festival!
The festival, one of Leeds’ most energetic summer events, is the perfect backdrop for a bit of friendly competition and a great excuse to get soaked for a good cause. Our team will be paddling their hearts out to raise money in support of Yorkshire Children’s Charity’s brilliant work, which includes providing vital support, equipment, and opportunities for children who need it most.
But this partnership is about more than just one event.
As a Leeds-based business, we’ve been actively looking for ways to give back to the community we’re proud to be part of. Supporting a local charity felt like the right step—not only because of the immediate impact we can help make, but because we believe businesses have a role to play in shaping a stronger, more inclusive society.
Yorkshire Children’s Charity stood out to us because of their deep-rooted commitment to improving the lives of children right here in Yorkshire. Their approach is hands-on, practical, and passionate—and it aligns perfectly with our values at Digital Beehive.
We didn’t just want to support a charity in name—we wanted to build a meaningful relationship with a cause that aligns with our values – we were looking for something we could genuinely get behind and contribute to in a hands-on way.
This partnership also reflects our wider commitment to social impact. At Digital Beehive, we’re proud to deliver projects that aren’t just digitally innovative—they benefit the communities they serve. Whether it’s through our technology that supports inclusive project delivery and in turn improves local quality of life, or now, partnerships like this one, we believe in using our skills and platform to drive positive change.
Working with Yorkshire Children’s Charity gives us the opportunity to extend that mission in new and meaningful ways—supporting education, wellbeing, and opportunity for children and families who need it most.
The Dragon Boat Race is just the start. Over the coming months, we’ll be collaborating on a series of events, volunteering days, and creative campaigns to raise both funds and awareness.
We’d love your support as we take to the water – whether you fancy cheering us on from the sidelines or making a donation to help us beat our fundraising target of £500.
