By converting organic waste into valuable biogas, the program offers a sustainable alternative for thermal and electrical energy, traditionally sourced from fossil fuels and firewood. This initiative not only reduces the dependence on coal power plants, which have marred rural India with pollution and health issues, but also significantly curtails methane emissions from untreated organic waste.
